Hi

I help arrange the away travel for Didsbury Blues and I'm looking for beer stops for the Villa, Leicester and West Brom away games. Preferably somewhere within about 30/40 minutes drive away from the ground with coach parking space. Good beer and food essential! Any ideas?

Cheers guys.

This is a great pub, food can be a bit pricey (though top notch) and they have 3/4 guest ales on always. If you rang then am sure they could accommodate a coach, car park is quite large.

If you go down the M6 Toll and onto the M42 then you can pop in there then back up the M6 to Villa Park (about 25 mins)

West Brom has the best away pub in the country, The Vine

Agreed , But The Vine stopped letting away fans in last year [or one before ] after candlepool fans kicked off.
For WBA or Villa call in The Tennis Court , Nice and big with good beer & grub.

Sorry........Just google for adress !

How dare you besmirch the reputation of Britains finest fans. I think you will find it was Chelsea fans mixed with national Front supporters who had infiltrated the pub wearing Liverpool shirts.

I know a good one but we will be stopping there and if I tell you and you go there, the bar queue will be bigger so sorry.
good luck though

What's the name of that pub near the Hawthorns that had a decent curry house attached to it? Anyone remember? Is it still there?

He won't be able to go there with a coach - not allowed within 15 miles of the ground

Could be the Royal Oak , walk past the Morrisons and its on the right hand side . Served a decent curry through a serving hatch type arrangement at last years game , was full of Blues

When I saw the thread title, I thoughtsfor one moment that away fans where being banned from drinking.
Phew.
