Away Kit Colour Poll

Just to clarify I dont and never had a beef with you fella, just saying you were having a go at this egypt guy when all he seemed to be doing was advocating a traditional City away strip.

My preferred choice would be Maroon. 1934 and 1956 FA Cup wins were in Maroon kits. and my first ever away kit was the 1989 Maroon kit.

Second choice would be the red and black stripes. 1969 FA Cup win, and 1970 League Cup and ECWC wins were in this. My only problem with this is that we just copied AC Milan as a wannabe club. Whereas maroon is our colour. But it does look nice.

Midnight blue could be interesting. I use that colour as my MS Word font colour. I am a bit worried we're just gonna look like Scotland!

And just to be quite clear it is usually accepted that City's traditional away shirt is red and black stripes. the only post from this Egyptian fella in this thread show just that, then this quagmire fella started getting on his back, I have seen only this thread on the subject and so calling a fella for sticking up for Citys traditional strips is offside, especially when advocating a dark blue away.

I just pointed out to the poster who said we wouldn't have a dark blue away shirt because it clashes with our home shirt that we have already had a dark blue away shirt in the past so it's not an issue.

As for Egyptian, you'll just have to trust us, but he has an extremely bizarre fascination with putting City in red shirts.

Matt it has nothing to do with the colours. It is about an earlier thread. Egypt posted a full unbroken red shirt with black cuffs and neck, he was pulled up for this before by a few on here about it and loads of other red shirts he posted. check his posts then go to page 21 or 22 mate.

Greeny, i'm being honest m8, i really have not seen it. I do however have a pm from someone who has and they tell me it is dark blue. There is supposed to be a hold up with it, over deciding on a maroon 'sheild' around the badge. I can also assure you that when it's finalised the poster will post it.

The away kit is defo Midnight / Dark Blue this season.

It won't be Maroon / Purple because Umbro won't make kits in these colours (unless it's a teams usual home kit colour), because those colours aren't 'fashionable'.

The Kit WILL be Zinfandel - whether that's the wine colour (maroon) or grape colour (dark blue) we'll have to see.

My bet - Maroon, In fact I'll be quoted on this one and I'll happily take a barage of shit if I'm wrong. Besides, dark blue doesn't differ enough from our home kit.

Well I'm only going off what an Umbro connection told me when I specifically asked if it'd be purple then he told me it would be midnight / dark blue. I presume you'd have to specifically ask for it. Maybe he just meant they don't do Purple like the Purple and white one we had a few seasons ago 'cos Maroon isn't quite as loud.
