Away ticket criteria

I think most agree that those that are prepared to travel week in week out deserve to get tickets. The younger fans getting extra seats has also breathed life into the away support. But I think what grates most people that are regulars at the etihad , is seeing fans at big away matches that are obviously tourist fans .

The points system didn't start until around the turn of the century, they were backdated to 98/99 IIRC for S/T holders but accurate historical records weren't available for previous years.
Thanks, I trying to ascertain when the loyalty scheme kicked in, rather than bemoaning my fallow years at Maine Road. But wow!, there was plenty to bemoan along the way.
Still, the restricted highs were sooo good, and here we are today, or rather tomorrow...

For information, the 18-25 allocation came out of the total allocation, including corporate, with tickets allocated in the same ratio as previously. As all those buying 18-25 tickets have to be season tickets holders, this actually increased the number of tickets available to general season ticket holders.
Can you confirm or not, or possibly ask the club if the percentage split for each game is the same i.e. are 60% of the tickets made available to season card holders via the points scheme. I am pretty sure that dependent on the game this figure is less as they give more tickets to sponsors, hangers on, players etc

Something was a miss with Wolves being at such short notice. Was there not enough time for the corps to apply?
Giving the criteria was showing going so low from day one ?
Usually 3k tickets from a reasonably easy place to get to even a wed night would only drop to 16-17k points before further details are announced

We've been at the Etihad 19 years to be fair, quite a reasonable time to accrue 'loyalty' points. And if you'd been going to Maine Road for that many years you'd have been ahead of many many people when we moved

I've had my season ticket since 1997 and im on 19990, used to do a shitload of aways but family and life have got in the way the past 10 years (ish) anyone with more points than me deserves an away ticket before me, its just the way it goes, a ballot is (and always has been when this comes up pretty much every year) a horrific idea.

Having said that if it were up to me every away ticket would be sold on a loyalty point basis, no corporates allocation to players families etc but it will never happen.

Side note the away ends this season have been the best ive ever seen which imo is in no small part down to the 18-25 allocation
yep agree. The 18-25 addition has been much needed and made nearly all aways better.
Never thought I'd say it but I'd support even more tickets for the young lads/lasses - say 15%

Wow, that is already a small percentage! - so 40% of away allocation is held for corporate, sponsors etc..?
That really does leave too small a portion of a generally insufficient number of tickets to spread across travelling blues.

It's the hospitality lot,no loyalty points pay 2 grand plus for season and get everything

You'd be surprised.

One of my mates firms has 8 tickets in one of the corporates and they have only been getting 25% of the ones they apply for this season.

Maybe it's different at the very top end (Chairmans Lounge, Platinum Boxes etc) but at those prices they probably wouldn't be bothered paying over the odds for away tickets anyway.

Generally there's just more people wanting to go I think, especially now the prices are capped at £30.

In Mancinis seasons you could get tickets for any game (bar OT) through our supporters group, now they are 10x over subscribed.
