Thats a fucking horrible generalisation by the way, even if you're including yourself in that criticism.I agree mate. I guess the exceltions seem to be games like Burnley and Huddersfield where
Most of our following watch without getting behind the team. Each to their own but it doesn’t help.
I've seen fantastic atmospheres at games that have sold out over 20k points and I've seen dog shit ones for those too. I've seen fantastic atmospheres at games which have gone on general sale or haven't sold out, and some generally dog shit ones too.
The atmosphere at Burnley the year we went 3-0 up after 5 mins (pushing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time) was good, when we drew last year, miles ahead in the league, not so good. As I said, circumstances dictate.
There were groups of young lads at both. Generally I think they contribute to an improved atmosphere, but quite often they'll sing in the concourses before the game and then during the game are absolutely silent. They are not solely responsible for the atmosphere.
Both Newcastle and Everton went to general sale one week apart, they were both great, right?
