That my young friend is also known as getting old.

Hahaha! NOOOoooo, I'm only just 25 (and 32 months)

I'm 33 and am listening to Everything Everything, The Courteeners and Crystal Castles at the moment. Also due to see British Sea Power in April.

I watched Motörhead back in the eighties at the Apollo and they were fucking loud but totally wank live.

Beach Boys
Listen to Pet Sounds immediately. The Beach Boys would be given far more credit these days if Mike Love hadn't turned the rest of the band against Brian Wilson.

Preachy Bob. Nobody likes being told what to like.

I've never heard of Preachy Bob, Dave. Do they play Gospel music?

Who believes that ? Overrated Scouse boyband with a few good tunes. Take That piss all over them.

I suppose record sales and influence mean nothing!

On that basis, One Direction are the best band in the world...

Lennon was talented and I love Hey Jude, the rest is dire

so...some of the worlds best most talented artists including Sinatra, Elvis, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Bryan Ferry, Neil Young, Elton John, Joan Baez, Booker T, David Bowie, Joe Cocker, Jeff Beck, Clapton, Alice Cooper, Elvis Costello, Sammy Davis Jnr, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald, Peter Gabriel, Oasis, Hendrix, Guns n Roses, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Tom Jones and many more recorded theyre songs because they were dire ?

Sound reasoning mate, Im sure if theyd all listened to you theyd have thought twice about recording Beatle songs :)

Hey, I know its a controversial choice but that is exactly what it is, a choice. I personally think dire is an apt description but hey, each to their own. (and you can take Elton John out of "the worlds most talented artists too) also garbage.
