Axel Witsel

Not near good enough for this team.

dont believe this is true in the slightest, the guy is a better player than milner already who is good enough for us, the guy is a good midfielder already and has the potential to become a top class midfielder.

Think the Vinnie having a word bit is tripe as the same was said in the whole hazard saga. In the recent friendly against england I actually thought the lad looked better than hazard, quite small but very very quick...seen him in a few champs league games for benfica last season and was impressed...not sure he's quite worth his buyout clause money though.
And it was said Vincent had a word with Lukaku too.

Witzel is fairly tall though (6'1"), with a bit of an Afro with blond bits in. You must be thinking about someone else.

got to agree
i watched him when he played for standard, and he was extremely good.

would i pay that amount of money for him?
probably not, mainly because its not what we need.
just pay everton 15mil for fellaini, who imo could be a world beater in the right team.

Everton paid £15m for Fellaini, they're not going to sell arguably their best player for the equivalent of what they paid for him.

Thought they got him for 11-12mil
my bad.
Regardless, they would accept a lot less than what witsel would cost.

Very good but not worth £31million. Benfica have a fantastic model just like Porto, they have brilliant scouts who identify hot talents who the club sign cheap then sell at incredible profits not too long after.

Inside football have an accuracy rating on City transfers of 0% they are about as reliable as caughtoffside or sky sports. Just to keep things in perspective although they may get this one right.

You seem to be much more knowledgeable about music than on the players. which is saying something

disagree, we've got some talent over here in Belgium these days...

Kompany, Hazard (Chelsea), Courtois (Chelsea/Atletico Madrid), Junior Musonda (Chelsea still very young) and Witsel (Benfica) are being rated world class players or prospects.

De Bruyne (Chelsea), Dembélé (Fulham), Fellaini (Everton), Defour(Porto), Vertonghen (Spurs), Lombaerts (Zenith), Vermaelen (Arsenal) are all still good but not as good. I would easily put my money on Witsel making it big.

The only player that's rated good by certain Anderlecht supporters you should stay away from is Lukaku, playing three levels above his capabilities.

Was just about to post saying that John Chapman (runs BelgoFoot twitter/web) doesn't rate Lukaku whatsoever and neither does the rest of Belgium.

Was it Dries Mertens you were thinking of?

Certainly looks it at the moment, has the perfect physical attributes for target man tall, strong and quick but you can tell he has failed to raise his game at all since he left belgium, he needs to develop technically, he is a player who has been taken to a higher level than his technical skills demand and he needs to adapt or will fall behind, awareness is another area, how to show himself for a pass, movement in the box and out to the flanks and drifting in late to end attacks. If he does n't improve in those areas he will forever be just his physique and end being a new Emile Heskey rather than the Drogba.

Lukaku has alot of potential and people are forgetting he turned 19 2 months ago. The boy needed to go to a manager that would play him and develop him and be patient with him. He's typical of a kid that made a move to a big club way too early and will stagnate and miss alot of his development

Witsel at £31 Million is a joke. We should be after Suarez as he seems a little unsettled and well worth £30 million

Competely out of the blue but no thanks, trouble follows him around, we've got enough of those.
