Completely. Gave the ball straight to Son on the edge of the area for the first. Gave the ball away and dived in taking himself out of the game for the second, and he was the man marking Llorente for the 3rd and got beaten so easily.


He's a great player, he's had a great season, he cost us 3 goals and a place in the CL semi-final tonight.

Rubbish, you can't make two individual mistakes costing goals and blame it on a completely separate game.

Hes had a shocker today and he will know it, is what it is. Pep cant account for it and neither can anyone else.

Hes a good defender but not an elite defender. You cant make the sort of mistakes he did tonight.

It's not the first time he's done that sort of thing this season with clearances. I remember him completely miskicking at least 3 crosses against palace that had it not been for kompany cleaning up after would've led to clear chances. He's had a great season though and that shouldn't be overshadowed but these are the games that the big players are meant to step up and that unfortunately wasn't the case for him today. He still has a big future ahead of him

For me he lacks physicality when up against strong forwards. We are poor at corners at both ends .Needs VVD alongside him next Season..Get it done Pep.

When you’re having a bad day like he was having maybe it would have been wise for Pep to just pull him at half time and say ‘it’s one of those games’.

He was visibly rocked after those two mistakes and it impacted on every aspect of his game including his passing which is usually excellent.

Totally lost his head and couldn’t find it for the rest of the game. Harsh lessons but he’ll have to learn from them.
