He's on a par with VVD,but then so is John Stones IMO.

Scousers talk about VVD like he is the best premier defender ever , they didnt see Vinny in his prime then.

Vinny was the benchmark,he's still got the ability even now,just his body is letting him down.

Regards Laporte,he's got the potential to be as good but it's his partnership with Stones that really excites.I don't see a better pairing anywhere.

Absolutely and age is on their side 23/24 years old ? Just need to sort the full backs now :)
