Everything this lad does just seems effortless he's a Rolls Royce of a defender , he reads the game superbly , out of the hundreds of defenders in europe how the f*ck did Pep and his team spot him ,he isnt even making the French squad and yet he is clearly the best and most consistent defender in europe.

Eric is way above him as an all round player and he doesn't have 2/3 defensive mids to protect him

This all day long , he's Ok when he has eight players helping him defend but the Dippers are playing with a high line this season , (they tried it against us in the 1st half at Wembley and we ripped their defence to pieces ,and Klopp changed tactics in the 2nd half) . Laporte could play in his slippers whilst smoking a cigar with eight defensive minded players around him.

it can't be more dominant CB display than this one. He just picked everything with such easiness.

Imperious performance from Americ today. Van Dijk gets all the acclaim but Laporte is on par imo.
