he needs to spend 3 years in england overall.
Don't think that' s right he is home grown and club trained because he has been registered with us for 3 years. Where he goes on loan doesn't make any difference, if it did Celtic wouldn't count either.

This deal looks pretty solid. Mangala's on his way out.
Denayer to come back, Vinny to stay fit(??), Otamendi to calm down a bit (?!). What's not to like?
Anybody actually seen much of this lad playing? Mangala came here with plaudits, and had been watched for a long time before we jumped. Is Laporte the real deal?

Laporte is better than Stones in my opinion but I think our expectations should be tempered IF we do get him. Premier League is a totally different animal relative to La Liga. Otamendi was one of the premier CB's in La Liga last year (better than laporte) but has been inconsistent so far with MCFC (although he hasn't been helped by those in the back 4 around him either).

No I think if we went for him we`d get spunked in the region of £50M from the Toffees,so for me it will be Laporte only (assuming he`s coming of course).

Maybe we would pass on Stones and try and prise Barkley from Everton? They won't sell both of them to us. We are linkedvwith plenty of other midfield players to Barkley but we have to have homegrown players and there are not many worth buying.

I'm really not watching enough football, other than City, at the moment to comment on Laporte. Not seen huge amounts of Stones and Barkley but enough to think that Pep could develop them into useful members of our squad.
