This lad will turn out to be an amazing signing. I can just hear Phil Thompson on Soccer Saturday: "I just don't get this one Jeff. I've never seen the lad play but he's no better than Dejan Lovren who was half the price. I think it's a disgrace that Man City are paying £57m for a player whose buyout clause is £57m. Who is doing the negotiating? And why is Laporte even considering moving to City from a mid-table Spanish side. Where's the ambition there Jeff? Pep clearly thinks Laporte is better on the ball - that’s critically important to him. Personally I think VVD is good but I honestly don’t think he’s great and his attitude isn’t the best either. Time will tell if he’s as good as Klopp clearly thinks he is and if Laporte can do what Pep wants him to do.

VVD is overated and not worth it, he insisted on going to the dippers so we only enquired,he clearly doesn't have the balls to take the big step up and join us but plumped for the dippers instead
