Does this raise an issue they may have in Spain. A lot of decent players might have release clauses at £40m to £100m which two years ago they may have thought would have protected their asset whereas now £40m is the starting point for a decent player.

By the way what ever happened to the vengeful wrath of Txiki and never forgiving Laporte? I'm genuinely curious after everything I've read over the last year.

Was it even a real thing or has it been a major change of heart? I mean there was a Sam Lee article on why we pulled out on Sanchez from a couple weeks ago referred to the Laporte snub and our subsequent response and he's in the loop!?

ps If it's already been answered just point me in the right direction thanks.

Suppose he didn’t chose another club over us as had happened in the past. He chose to stay where he was.

He was 21 and didn’t see himself as a starter. Felt he was too young and needed to develop. Clearly didn’t burn bridges, and he has developed, so here we are.

A non story in the first place i reckon,we would have understood a young kid with a broken leg staying loyal to his club who were getting him better,he got stage fright as well,i'm should pep would have understood, the fact we went back for him shows the notion to not be true
