Can anybody translate Grande Kepita! From a Laporte tweet of 2 days ago regarding a publication in El Cena where Laporte is signing documents with Bilbao boss I can pick up mention of 62m Euros in the Spanish narrative but Spanish not my forte........please you clever clogs out there

So basically we're negotiating over the fee, since it's impossible for us to activate the release clause without paying an additional 45% in tax? So we're wanting to offer the amount of his release clause without actually activating it. Shakhtar have no obligation to accept that offer and want more money, naturally. We'll probably settle on a fee that is 10-15% higher than his release clause to 'save' money. So we must wait to see if it gets done before the deadline. Is that, in a nutshell, where we are at?
How can I tell be a release clause if it is not binding to the club?

John stones is our future captain imo. He was outstanding before he got injured and I'm sure he will be in the future. Laporte won't be replacing stones I'm sure of that. If anything our centre halves will be rotated.

I wasn’t saying Stones ain’t up to it- just pull his finger out... Mangala was the 1 I was referring to...

I think it's impossible to dislike the Mangler for the reasons you highlighted. I also don't think he is as bad as he's made out. Okay he's no Baresi, but i think the press got on his back early doors and he never really recovered. He never hides, he seems like he's a popular member of the squad and is all for the cause. Should he go in the summer I really hope it's with a suitcase full of medals.

You are right Mangala isn’t that bad but in our side he looks terrible - because we demand ball players - at less sophisticated clubs like West Brom or the Rags where he’d just have to put his head on it,put it in row Z or lump it long he’d look okay. That said he’s never worth the sort of fee we paid for him. £12 to £15m defender. I hope he gets a move , settles and becomes a valued part of a team. He’s a good professional and seems like a good lad so I wish him well - I hope being so far down our pecking order doesn’t cost him a place in France’s WC squad.

Yeah, I've read he's a good chap to have around the squad.

I suppose if we do sell him. It won't be hard for his next supporters to make a compilation video to convince themselves 'He's the one'. They could just use his debut against Chelsea.

Sorry if posted already, Scuotnation posted his 17/18 season comp few minutes ago.

Looks like a real level headed defender who definitely possesses the ability to play it out from the back with ease. This season he's not performed at the level that he used to before but I would like to think that's largely down to Bilbao under performing under the new coach after Valverde.

In the video it says his height is 6'1 & 1/2 but it's actually 6'3

He can do the defensive side of the job no problem and also has the pace to recover from some of his bad positional play. Unfortunately he lacks a bit of composure when in possession and look terrified when playing the ball around at the back. He also suffers due to the high line and the fact that there isn't much protection in front of him when teams hit us on the break. I could see him doing a job in Italy where not conceding comes before scoring or at a more defensive minded Premier League club. As for his price well that was just a mystery, because as you say he was never worth the outlay.

Bloody hell I thought you were talking about Laporte for a minute there.
