I will just say that I'm not 100% sure that this is over. They don't normally anounce the buyout clause as prominently as that with Spanish contract renegotiations.

I honestly couldn't give a flying one. He has been nothing, done nothing and not even had a cap for France yet. Its his loss and not ours, move on to the next target.
If I were city, I would go all out for Pogba now, blow your full budget on players that are worth it and not just players like Laporte who are all potential and nothing else to show for it. I am sure we can find the odd gem here and there at CB for a much cheaper price as Spurs did with alderweireld and Bayern did with Kimmich. Rather spend huge on midfielders and attackers that are worth it.

I have seen enough to know it would be a big loss. whilst I agree with your point about the prem we do know for a fact that both mangala and otti are fucking poor. we need 2 more cb's to make progress.How often have you seen him play though? The premier league is totally different. I'm sure mangala and otamendi were decent in their respective leagues. Let's wait and see.

But not a criticism of you mate but 12 months ago we signed the player considered to be the best CB in Spain. I'm not sure that Laporte has even played for France. And I'm not having a go at Laporte as I've seen little of him, but I'm not worried. Fingers crossed for some better news soon
