Keep their broadband, it's the best out there for reliability. Virgin still throttle and sky and talk talk are not worth thinking about.

A nice tip is get the gamer package on virgin, it has no throttling at all :-D (also i think the 300mb plan has had all restrictions lifted, not sure on that one though.

Going to bin Bt completely and go with EE for 38mb fibre and free weekend calls for £363pa all in
I'll keep the bt youview box (which is now free) for pause rewind and record. Footy will be streamed or in the pub.
Family life will be crap though cos it's bound to go all wrong.

A mate has this in Liverpool and he gets throttled weekly. They over subscribe the area and wind it back. His crawls along sometimes. Had BT, left BT, went back and stayed. I'm a gamer, always low pings.

Virgin are famous for over subscribing areas, just check their user forums. But they're great if you like arguing with Indian (not-much) help desks. They'll try anything to not admit there's utilisation issues in your area.

does anyone get their broadband supplied by b.t.?
do they block you watching live footy streams?

we're moving house in a few weeks.
i wanted to be near to the city centre,
but ida found a place in the hills north east of manchester and set her heart on it.

much as i am loathe to give these cunts money every month,
it seems there's no other choice than b.t. because it's out in the sticks.

my concern is that they automatically block customers from watching live games,
simply because games are often on b.t.sport.

no bother for me. been with them 4 years and watch all the footy via streams

Hi pal what happened to me was I'm with BT got kodi 2 monts ago couldn't stream films football etc the guy who sold it me sent me a link you have to go in to your settings etc and turn something off apparently he said it's only bt who do this if you have a problem pm me I will send you the link mine works fine now

called the 'bt home hub' and you have to turn off 'smart set up'

Regards VPN providers, I can strongly recommend NordVPN.

https://nordvpn.com/

They have tons of servers all over the place, they allow torrent downloads, they keep no logs and you can get 2 years use for $79. Works out at about £2.60 a month. Well worth it.

EDIT:

Here's the URL for the 2 year deal

https://nordvpn.com/en/checkout/?2year&coupon=2YDeal2017

Use coupon code "2YDeal2017"
