Back from Timisoara

Standard European away. Madness, fun, long trips, strife and free lifts from the police. It's what God invented the Europa League for.

39 of us were on the bus from Budapest to Timisoara. Took longer than we thought, and the bog was broke, but we got there.

Stadium was different, game awful, locals brilliant, police bored out their skulls because we did nothing but have a good time, and there was no trouble. Post match party was in a bar that had a pool, little beach, women dancing on podiums, music, food and 85p beer. Carlsberg don't do post-match boozers, but if they did......

And to top it off, at 6am when we left the bar, there was some police outside, who tried ringing a taxi for us. They couldn't get through, so decided to give us a lift back to the hotel in the back of a riot van. We had loads of pictures with them, and thanked them for decent taxi service. They were bored because there was no trouble from what I saw.

The Timisoara fans were excellent. I heard there's only a couple of dozen coming next week. Please, if you see them on Thursday, make sure you make them welcome. We had a great time with them last night after the game, and every bar or person we met made us feel welcome.

Brilliant trip. If anyone's in Romania, head over there, it's worth it.
 
I have just got back from Timisoara in the last few hours.

WARNING ! ! ! ! ! NEVER EVER GO AWAY WITH 100%MANC / ANDY

Jusus the lad knows no fear lol. While most of you was tucked up in your beds at 3am this morning I was sat at the side of a road in northern serbia, in the dark, with a smashed up vespa bike (had accident) watching 100% MANC trying to do a deal with some Romanian gypos for 30KG of meat just so that we could get a lift half way and put the working bike on the back on the van

long sotry short . . We roll into belgrade at 7am. both of us on ONE vespa. city flag on the back, Giant banana tied to the side and 30KG of romanain beef in the box. And fucking 100% singing "never felt more like singing the blues" at the top of his voice

locals at tim's were great btw. really nice place

Another quality trip - that club at the side of the ground was great and we were even escorted by the host to get there.

Only potential for trouble we saw was a group approached us in he bar at the far end of the square for a "meet up in a park - 10 on ten or 20 on 20" but to the credit of the City fans they got told to scatter cause we were here for a party so ain't going to a park to get ambushed.

Rest of the locals were brilliant wanting chat about footy/Manchester. I walked it to the ground from the centre and got no grief chatting with a group that showed me the way and then after the club at the ground a group of their fans walked in to town with us.

Let's look after any of their fans on Thursday, finish the round off to sort out the next trip on Friday
