"Mancini revealed that Balotelli's move to AC Milan will give him time to scour the market for a world-class striker in the summer.

And Suarez, who was found guilty of racially abusing United's Patrice Evra last season, fits the bill perfectly..."

This is shocking. How dare they suggest that racially abusing United players is a plus point for any potential City striker.

They are saying Suarez fits the bill perfectly because he is a world-class striker.

Hope I haven't been clarkied.

Better get a message to the City Store, to get stocking up on Suarez memorabilia;

The intention was to create interest via naughtily reminding United fans of his misdemeanours in the same sentence as saying he would be perfect for City, but in doing so has suggested that the perfect City player would be a racist.

They forgot to say that we missed out on an alleged rapist earlier in the summer.

RVP cleared off all rape charges.
Suarez found guilty FYI.

I think it is unlikely we would add Suarez unless he plans to get rid of either Tevez or Aguero. Mancini (rightly) raves about Cavani, I think he is a much more likely target.

I think his point is that everyone knows what each person (Suarez and Van Persie) was accused of. His point that bringing up Suarez' transgressions in the story for no reason would have been balanced by bringing up Van Persie's. I happen to agree with him.

But I think you knew all this and were playing "smart"

Didn't the woman admit that she completely made up the rape allegations against van persie? If so then it would be outrageous for a paper to mention it routinely IMO. Suarez was found guilty of his offence so whilst it may not be particularly relevant to the story, it's not entirely unreasonable for them to mention it. If and when Ched Evans ever restarts his career, I imagine his "past" will be mentioned all the time. That said, it is quite funny to call van persie a rapist when talking to united fans.

Knows the league, scores goals, and seems to thrive in tight situations where space is a premium. Cavani, alternatively, thrives on space and counter attacking, and we don't often need or do much of that.

Suarez is the new Tevez.

I'd be over the fucking moon if we signed him. Fucking unplayable on his day and he has quite a significant number of days imo.
Completely agree with this he would be perfect for us, but I can't see the dippers letting him go

Bobby quoted as saying that Suarez is a "top" player. My immediate reaction is that he's been watching 'arry too much.

Suarez found guilty by a bunch of bumbling part time amateurs who routinely make appalling disciplinary judgements often seemingly based on nothing other than a wanton desire to placate the rags.
