one defeat in extra time wont ruin our season, if you look back to our fixtures last season then there still on a par except the arsenal result and last night of course. i know we need to improve but there is alot of new blood still nervous and trying to hard to impress i guess. give it time blues and im sure we'll be lifting that throphy again come may.

i personally think we are missing richards badly but our players that fill in are more than capable. lets get a win at fulham and everything will be fine again untill we lose again ;-)

ps,i hate this forum when we lose

Thing is though, on a par is not good enough. We need to better last season. The Rags have been pretty shite yet again but are still winning every week, and I'm sure that'll continue. Last season we won it on goal difference in the dying seconds and as brilliant as it was, we really can not afford to take it that close again. We need to be setting the pace not playing catch up already.

Things must improve. Although I'm sure they will.

Its human nature....
once we go back to defensive style ..again moans will be in full force with 'boring boring city'

I thrive on moans when you win 1-0 , its a lot better than the moans when you lose because you are shipping goals.

If we lined up early Mancini style now how would it go? Maybe: Hart, Zaba, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Garcia, Barry, Yaya, Silva/Nasri, Tevez/Aguero, Dzeko/Mario. Basically sacrificing the one extra attacking player to play all three of Garcia, Barry, and Yaya?

Well Silva needs rest, Nasri is out and Mario looks to be a perennial substitute until his temperament can be trusted so perhaps it sorts itself out. Agree that a back to basics approach and a few clean sheets are needed though. Get a few decent results and turn draws into victories and we'll be up there.

We're not really a 1-0 team and weren't last season. Last season we won 5 games 1-0 but lost 6 games by that score. We're usually better in open, high scoring games.
