Ferguson is obviously a lot closer to the true picture than most of us.
From talking to Gill and Glaser he will know exactly what the situation is at the swamp. From talking to agents, the media and other well connected people in the game he will have a very clear idea of what the situation is at City.
Being in possession of the facts, Baconface not only has every right to be worried about City but he must also be very concerned about united.
This transfer window is a bit of a watershed for me. United desperately need to strengthen as they can not longer continue to paper over the cracks and manage with an aging and depleting squad whilst moaning about their being no value in the market. If they don't sign at least one big name player in the next 6 weeks then its clear for all to see - this truly is the beginning of the end for United's dominence in English football.
