follow me I'm right behind you
This bloke does wind me up, Sky have been running a piece where he says sinces Abramovitch came to Chelsea, scum have had to change tactics and concentrate on developing youth.

It didn't ring true so I did a spot of research and sent them this:

When are you guys going to start doing your job and stop taking every word that comes out of Ferguson’s mouth as gospel? There is always an agenda.

Your programme this morning features a segment where he states that as United can not match Chelsea’s spending power since Abramovitch took over, United had to plan for the long term and develop their younger players. He is either deliberately lying or hasn’t checked his facts. His motive? To imply Chelsea buy success, United don’t.

Since Abramovitch took over United have spent £335 million! Nearly £60 million per season – how is that developing youth?

Look at tomorrow’s possible line-ups more closely and you get nearer the truth.

United – Van Der Sar, Neville, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Scholes, Carrick, Park, Ronaldo, Rooney, Berbatov.

Do you see any youth players there? 2 – Scholes and Neville – United have not brought youth players through since well before Abramovitch’s reign!

Chelsea – Cech, Boswinga, Cole, Terry, Carvalho, Lampard, Ballack, Cole, Deco, Anelka, Drogba.

Uniteds line-up cost £192.5 million.
Chelsea - £145.8 million.

As Rafa said yesterday – THESE ARE FACTS.

Please do your job, there are so many myths about United, Ferguson keeps exploiting them and the media do not do their job.

Anyway, I know it's a waste of time and I'm spitting in the wind and I'm bitter etc etc but if nothing else it's useful info the next time ur around one who's having a pop at us trying to buy success!! (I wish!)

Mate, that is brilliant. I was going to research the figures as i was having a stand up row with a rag over the fact that their first team squad cost more than Chelseas.

When I heard him spouting, AGAIN this morning it made my blood boil. I think every week managers should pick him apart in their press conferences. I think it would soon humble the prick.

Like every Rag, The Purple-Nosed Tosser doesn't do humility.

Yes, a great post.

How I wish that they would have the guts to quote it the next time they discuss what he said.i

they do seem to lose track of just how many players they've spent astronomical amounts of money on.

They don't have guts that's the problem.
Poll has come out saying that the purple nose fucker is viewed by the refs as getting away with murder. Remember when Ronaldo got sent off the 1st time at COMS & rooney & him verbally abused the ref & his door got smashed,no ref report on the incident was recorded.
The twat should never have been knighted he's a disgrace.
Nice one raffa.

very good. spot on.
purple nose really has the press in his pocket.
even when chelsea won their 2 prems it was all about buying it, not winning it.
the same will happen to us 10 fold, if we EVER win anything.
i would like to see the figures of what the rags spent in the 26 years to win their
1st prem and what they have spent in total since 1992 when the prem began,
compared to every other team.

Where do you get the £335M figure from? Having a row with a rag and they say its no where near that amount?

transfer.de, gives ins and outs year by year....is in euro's but practically 1 for 1 at mo

But it wasnt when most of the transfers took place it was probably about 1.35 average. So I'd guess the figure is closer to £220M still a hefty amount, but I bet we've spent close to £140M now!

wouldnt waste your time and space on this sad old man he will surely be destined for some old folks home where he will be forgotten about and happily fade away while city do the business adios bacon face ! u saddo

Just added up the United team mentioned & unless i've got it totally wrong then it doesn't come anywhere near 192 million
