Machina/The Machines Of God - Smashing Pumpkins

Yeah, following on from Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream this was a big let down, I blame it on the drummer getting sacked. Adore was a decent enough album, although nowhere near the standard of Mellon Collie, but Machina/The Machines of God was a major disappointment.

Adore is a classic baby!

How in god's name fo you not like Adore. Such a brilliant, under-rated Pumpkins album.

Songs like For Martha, Ava Adore, Annie-Dog are perfect. I love Machina as well, but felt rather let down by Zeitgeist.

He didnt say he didnt like it, just when you compare it to Siamese Dream & Mellon Collie two all time great albums it doesn't even come close.

I also thought Zeitgeist was a return to form for the Pumpkins tbh.

Though my all time fave band, Cheap Trick can do little wrong for my ears, they did an album in the 80's called The Doctor.....and it is terrible. Half baked songs with truly awful production and synths very much of 'that' era......even the band have disowned it.
Not too keen on their worldwide ('cept here, lol) No1 from '88 The Flame either........

at the time New Order released Technique it was a huge change in direction and I thought it shite. Bumped into Barney and told him so. (He told me to fuck off)
Took a few years to find it had a lot to offer.

Any album that Oasis have released in the last few years considering their first two were rather good.
