I hate that cover. It reminds me of a joke song that Barry Cryer used to do called Peace and Quiet where he gets gradually louder and louder throughout the song until at the end he's screaming peace and quiet into the microphone. Whenever I hear this bloke belting out the Sound of Silence as loud as he can, it makes me think of it.

I prefer this version with Myles Kennedy. The vocals are excellent.

Several times recently, there has been a song on the Wireless which is a cover version of 'Fast Car' by Tracy Chapman. No idea who it is, but they shouldn't have bothered.

Saw Leonard Cohen for the 1st time not long before he died.
Was brilliant.
Had all his albums but had thought he would be boring in a concert.
He closed the concert with Tower of Love - brilliant.
By the way do you like the song Dolphins by Tim Buckley.

It’s decent. Tim had a great voice.
Died too young also.

Edit: I’ve found loads of covers of this song, from Lina Ronstadt to The Black Crowes, but I think I really like Nick Cave’s version.
