Bad neighbours

Plates smashing, furniture flying, and in the end he had a clawed eye gash and she had a busted up nose. They really are a complete train wreck. Inconsiderate, rude, no self control, no hope really of reasoning with them.

The problem is what to do about it. The way things are set up in this country I get the impression we are a bit stuck.

1/ I could speak to them, but the way they conduct themselves you get the firm impression they don't care about anyone but themselves and would likely take offence at the notion that they could possibly be in the wrong at all.

2/ mention it to the letting agency. I don't know if it's the same company that operates all the apartments but if they are in breach of the terms of living here then perhaps that would give some leverage in getting shut of them.

I'm almost tempted to refuse to pay my rent until they are either gone or stop being noisy. I feel like it shouldn't be my problem, I pay rent and I'm not getting any peace here at the moment so you couldn't call it a home.

Anyone had any similar experiences?

As long as they pay their rent on time, I doubt the letting agency would give a shit. We're moving house next week, and it's purely down to bad neighbours.
If you think yours are bad, then fuck knows how you'd cope with ours.

She's a single woman in her late 20s who gets absolutely fucking hammered every weekend.
I drove onto our road one night and saw a woman face down in the middle of the road. I thought she's been knocked over so I stopped and went to check. It was our next door neighbour, she was so fucking pissed she couldn't walk. I put her in the car and had to carry her into her flat.
A couple of week later I was sat browsing bluemoon at 3 am when I couldn't sleep. I heard the front door open and my first thought was that my lad had just come it. Then I remembered he wasn't at home that weekend.
I found her stood in our hallway in her pyjamas pissed as a ****. I walked her back to her flat and she came around the next day to apologise.
We started locking the front door after that. Next week at about 11pm we heard someone try the door. It was her pissed up, she was banging on the door trying to get in. I went to the door and she was bladdered and didn't have a fucking clue what she was doing.
This went on nearly every week for months. The last time I just ignored her and thought fuck her, I'm not going to the door. She started to kick the door and scream at us to let her in. Then she pissed on the carpet in the hall, right outside our door. She was stark bollock naked too. Another neighbour called the police and she got arrested and fined £100 for being pissed.
Since then she blames us for her arrest and comes home from work, gets a pan out of the cupboard and spends an hour banging on the wall. When I knock on her door she ignores me.
She is with the same letting agency as us and despite their sympathetic murmurings over the phone, as long as she pays her rent, they don't give a fuck.

So we've had to give notice and find somewhere else.
