Are you sure that's not just the prices for now? My mate's wife and child are stuck there and the prices are ridiculously low as there are no tourists there. It's not like that all the time although still some great deals to be had.Thinking for future years of going to Bali. Anyone been? Any tips? Seems like you can get some really nice digs for £50 a night for 3 people but not sure how legit these places are on air BNB

Was there at the beginning of March this year. Stayed at Nesa Dua(?). Lovely man made beaches but you do tend to be out of it. Like staying on a separate island. Getting around is a total nightmare. DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF. Never, ever seen traffic like it and I have been all over the world. Drivers just point and pray, there are motor cyclist and mopeds by the thousands and they don’t mind where they drive. People are lovely though and very friendly. Takes absolutely ages to get anywhere all the time - think Bangkok but four times as bad - at least in Bangkok there were quieter times of the day.

Stayed at The Nusa Dua hotel as a stop off on the way home from Aussie having been over for the 1988 rugby league tour. Was there for 4 Days beautiful and relaxing.
They had a piano bar and this local guy would entertain us till the early hours. You couldn't take the local money out of the country so on the last night along with other fans from the tour we loaded his piano with all our left over money. When we were leaving he turned up with his family to thank us all. Guess we left more than we thought, pissed Brits abroad.
I even got my hair braided on the beach, now I've hardly got any.
