It obviously takes slightly longer for two substitutes at the same time, than one. But there hasn't been an increase in the number of times play can be stopped for substitutions for 30 years.Teams being able to make so many subs is surely having an effect on the ball in play time
Yeah, same with awarding penalties for the wrestling competition at corners. You only have to give a few and even the thickest of footballers would get the message.Only for so long. The players would soon learn
Not sure it would make any difference to the quality of our set piecesI'm stunned no team has gone with a tactic of taking corners, free kicks and throw ins more quickly. As soon as the ball goes out all players just fucking wander around like it's a training pitch. You'd think it was all planned so they could get more time to just fucking mince about.
It would be interesting, as soon as the ball went out for a corner, if your players who are properly drilled for a corner were up there straight away and the corner take within 10-15 seconds. You'd definitely catch the opposition out. Same with free kicks.
Football realty is in the dark ages with 'special teams' type stuff
Every fan sat there with a stop watch, that’s enjoyableThis.
A goal kick is awarded. If not taken inside 25 seconds the other team get a corner.

A throw in. 10 seconds or the other team get the throw.
Arsenal are the worst team I have ever seen for time wasting and play acting. They have time outs in the dug out every time someone is injured. Their players go down clutching their heads. And the referees have done nothing to stop it.Arse have turned into the stoke team they used to slag off for playing the same style of football
The twats are desperate, desperate times, desperate measuresThe cheating by Gabriel in the first half was appalling. What an example to set to future footballers of a young age. Arteta really has sent our game back forty years.
It does my head in when our own players do it. I always felt when Kompany was here, we tended to stay away from that side of the game, but Doku and Savinho are bad for it.The twats are desperate, desperate times, desperate measures
It's pretty much a standard reaction amongst virtually every player in the league now, that if you get fouled ( or even if you don't ) you screech like a little girl, roll around a few times and then lie motionless clutching whichever body part is handy, until everyone gives you a little bit of love and attention. It does my head in when our own players do it. I always felt when Kompany was here, we tended to stay away from that side of the game, but Doku and Savinho are bad for it.
But Arsenal take that side of the game to a level I’ve never seen in English football before. They’re a disgrace and it’s not their tricky little wingers who are just at it, their ‘big tough’ centre back is the worst in their team for it.
Fake a head injury, or pretend the keeper is injured, and have a time out and refuel drinks on the touchline.
That’s why we haven’t got one?Set piece coaches are the worst thing to happen to football
Remind me what we practice in training? The dead ball routines are that choreographed now it's taking an age to get players to stand in the correct position as per the set pieces coach. Then a bit of hassle with the keeper for good measure.
No wonder we don't practice them in training.
Why would the players care about a later finish?Only for so long. The players would soon learn
60 minutes in-play time is too simple, too easy to implement and too sensible!!you'd think 60 mins on a stop clock supporters would be getting shorted changed, but based on numbers you'd be getting 10% more in play football.
