deal hasnt been done according to city and mario at loftus road for tonite. valuation hasnt been met, but apparently only a few mil short of our valuation
Fairly obviously it would have been preferable if we could could have sold him at the end of the season. You can almost guarantee that one of our other strikers will be injured after the deal is done.
But equally obviously, the clubs interested in buying him were only willing to do so by indulging in a piece of end of transfer window brinkmanship. If we didnt sell him now I'm sure would have found ourselves in exactly the same situation on 29th August.
At least we'll have the money in the bank and able to go for a replacement early in the summer without being at the whim of AC Milan.
