Just received an SMS from the Man City News organisation (for want of a better word) here in the United Arab Emirates claiming that Mancini has stated that he will only consider letting Tevez go to Inter Milan if done in part exchange for young Balotelli. WTF? Did I miss this news on here or elsewhere?
 
its the same to say at barca "I'll consider to let you tevez only if you let me messi" ;)

I mentioned it in the Benitez after Tevez for £35,000,000 thread but didn't want to start a new thread because of the forum patrol who complain when you duplicate subjects that could have been posted elsewhere. I call them the bandwidth protectors.

Anyway, back on topic. I can imagine this being true personally as Mancini is the one who gave Balotelli his chance and enjoyed a good working relationship with him. Balotelli is not the one to replace Tevez though, a player of higher work rate and prestige should be in place to be the barrier for the club from the inevitable backlash from the fans if we sold Carlos.

Its just a news carrier that the local mobile telephone provider (Etisalat) has done a deal with over here in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. MCFC send me "club news flashes" several times a week at no cost. During games they flash the score whenever a goal goes in, although its usually 10 minutes after. Its nice to show your mates over here even if the news may just be recycled gossip. The latest is the Robinho returning to Eastlands story.
 
If there turned out to be any truth in this, my faith in Mancini would take a big shot. Tevez is the heart and soul of the "new City", to sell/swap him - in exchange for a potentially brilliant but currently inconsistent crazy kid - would be madness of the worst kind. This has to be paper talk.
 
would love to get Balotelli
but not at the expense of Tevez!!

I cant think of to many players i would swap for tevez...

This is rubbish. The guy has been here 5 minutes and you say that. Look we understandably idolise certain players due to huge lack of success. Kinky, Goater etc
I hope Carlos has a long and happy time here and wins us trophies. However if Mancini thinks Balotelli is better, and I doubt he does, so be it.
