Balotelli as captain?

Love all these newspaper bandwagon bum-chums with their new Balotelli love.

The kid's off his rocker, of course City fans would love him. Some of us loved Christian Negouai. We were made for each other.

I have no idea why I liked this fella, same with Sommeil and Jo, I like supporting average footballers, they're funny as fuck.

All time hero though when I was about 11 was Paulo Wanchope, no idea why, got his name on my shirts for 2 years solid.

YaYa ? Milner ?
everyone else
Balotelli

There's my order :P
I know you're joking by putting him bottom, but Balo would definately be a better captain than players like Nasri, Johnson. He'd also be a better captain than Aguero at this moment in time, due to the language barrier. Watching the West Brom game, when things weren't going well, i thought Mario showed a lot a desire to win that game and came out with more credit than most. There's several players more suited to be our captain at this moment in time, but equally, there's several that i'd put Mario above!

I saw this in a Guardian blog...

Mario Balotelli to be Manchester City captain. At last the Premier League has a character, a figure in the lineage of Eric Cantona and Roy Keane, who were fine captains. Leaders are chosen to send a particular message, so to have the firework enthusiast taking Manchester City into battle would give the title pretenders the final prerequisite of all great teams: personality. It might also calm him down. A little.

Could it ever work???

NO.

the squad should get together and just let him wear the armband against the rags and wind the fuckers up

vinny could still be captain on the pitch, he`s probably got a big C tattooed on his arm anyway

Could it ever work??? Maybe not yet but down the line when he matures some more, even if as vice-captain and captain when VK is injured/rested. I'm kind of warm to the idea, I know Italy's manager played with the idea not so long ago and it'd be entertaining. When Balotelli is about 26 I can envisage him as someone like De Rossi, passionate and a bit wild, but inspiring his team-mates.

No.
