Does anyone think one of these players will have to move to a different club? they all could be starters somewhere else and one of them will be the 4th in line here not getting as much time on the pitch, and maybe not even making the bench. Someone will be unhappy and it could be a bad thing for the team.

Do people purposely ignore the players when they discuss their own future?

I know they all say their happy and want to stay now, but i think it could change once someone isn't getting the playtime they desired.

If they are happy to stay after this season, I don't see what would change next season

This thread sounds a bit raggish IMO.
All these players would be delighted to win the PL this year.
If they dont think they can play at the level required. I expect Dzeko may return to Germany and Tevez go to PSG/Italy. If Balo gets his head right he will get plenty of games.
The club wants to be the best in Europe if the players perform well there should be 60+ games next season. We need a strong squad full of players with the right attitude.

If Mancini has his eyes on a new striker, one of them will have to leave whether they want to or not. But if they are all happy do we need a new striker? I suspect Mancini wants a really ruthless and clinical striker, hence the links to van Persie and Cavani (and my favourite Falcao would fall under that category). I think we will send feelers out to clubs about Tevez because if we don't sell him this window, we may never get a transfer fee for him when he is worth at least £25million. But a 100% fit Tevez (which I still don't think we've seen since he returned) is one of the best strikers in the world so maybe the club are willing to let him go for nothing when his contract ends?

Next season we have plenty of games to keep 4 strikers happy. They will all stay I reckon its a squad game now more than ever.

Balotelli said he's staying
Dzeko said he's happy
Today Zab confirmed himself, Tevez and Aguero are all staying.

We won't lose any strikers or sign any.

I don't think it's possible to keep those 3 plus Sergio. Edin wasn't getting much playing time before Tevez came back.

Someone will leave despite all the happy words.

Signing a striker before selling one of the four would be stupid IMO because it'd tell clubs "City have too many strikers and they badly need to sell one", giving us a disadvantage at the negotiating table. If we do sign van Persie (hope not) or anyone else I hope it's only after someone is sold for a FAIR price.

That's because we only had the league left to play for.

Could not the opposite be said, albeit to a lesser degree? "City have sold a striker and need adequate cover!" Words can always be twisted, I'm sure City have top negotiators.

If tevez wants to stay then we must get him to sign a new contract.

No chance with a new contract at the moment. The discussions with Kia Joorabchian will be very messy.

I was quite impressed with Tevez since he came back. I hated him before for being too selfish and trying to do too much himself. He changed his attitude and he became a team player so suddenly. If he can continue to play like this and not going back to his old himself, I would definitely keep him.
