Better call Saul
Does anyone else think this would be a good move? Not in a Robinho/Adebayor style pushing him out of the club type move, but I really think loaning him out to a mid table prem team would do him the world of good. I'm quite blind when it comes to Mario, backed him at Inter and I was buzzing when we signed him. No doubt in my mind he could be the real deal. Just not yet. 90% of players his age at top clubs are just breaking through, on the bench or out on loan. He's been playing in Serie A since he was 18 iirc and all the abuse he got over there can't have helped. Switch to city and finds himself at a club going through (hopefully) the biggest transition in footballing history, and every little action on and off the pitch is carefully scrutinised. No wonder he hasn't grown as a player. If his ego allowed it, which I hope to god it would, I'd like to see him somewhere like Sunderland/Fulham for a season. Sort his head out, away from the spotlight at City, and hopefully pick up some of that battling spirit he lacks.

I think it would do him the world of good to be honest Mark, good call.

The thing is would his ego let him be mature enough to know it would help and hence accept such a move ?

I think Jol is a smart coach, Fulham maybe ? or would Landan distract him ?

I would say Swansea but fuck that they would win the prem if he kicked on with them fuckers :p

Swansea, Sunderland, Villa, Fulham or Newcastle if they do not buy to many big name players and challenge us for the top places hehe.

it makes sense, but i can't see it happening cos he is too good.

while he still needs to develop as a player, he is kind of too good to go to another premier league team. if he did go to newcastle and score 20 goals, wouldn't we look a bit stupid? cos he could have been scoring them for us

Agree to the Loan idea, but preferably to a more local club such as Bolton so he can stay in the North West.

Sturridge going to Bolton did him a world of good, Owen Coyle was a Striker himself... Could see it helping Mario alot.

Don't think he'd react that well to a loan. His ego would make him ask for a transfer.

BUT... how about loaning out Mancini to Swansea over a month in the summer, so he could learn a thing or two from Brendan?

Just to think we could have had him as Mancini's right hand instead of Platt. He obviously has the right football philosophy, speaks fluent Spanish and apparently also very good Italian. Not having a go at Platt (though I don't think I will ever forget his disparaging comments about us before he was approached by the club) but surely BR would have been the better option of them two.

please can people stop suggesting loaning our players to bolton. he has already hindered the progress of two of our prospects (weiss and boyata, who has been played out of position all season and dropped as a scapegoat). no thanks

No other manager would be able to deal with Balotelli, it would be a disaster.

Loan Dzeko out, he needs it more.

selling him would be most beneficial to everyone

never seen him leave the pitch yet and say , wow he was unreal,
lazy guy but puts the ball in the net, catch 22 with him

WTF!!! Now Liverpool wants Dzeko???? (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1341659/Liverpool-rival-Manchester-City-Edin-Dzeko--WHAT-THE-BACK-PAGES-SAY.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/articl ... S-SAY.html</a>)

Nobody wants Balo. Even Liverpool think stupid Carroll is better then him.

If you mean selling Balotelli, I completely disagree.

Look at some of the past players who have had attitude problems and have went on to be excellent players, at the moment Drogba and Sturridge come to mind. Even our own Micah Richards was acting up for a while.
I think if we sold Balotelli in a few years we would regret it.

im referring to selling dzeko. keep balotelli, the club can just about get away with one inconsistent striker, but not 2. let balotelli be a risk, but not dzeko as well
