Like Suarez did, Brendan?
Balotelli will break the rules from the get go. Doesn't matter what it is. Then Brendan has a decision to make. He can discipline Balotelli and cause Mario to pout, then his form will drop so badly that he's basically useless. Or he can excuse it like Mancini frequently did, alienating the squad and encouraging Mario to do it again.
The love fest will last until the 2nd or 3rd red card. The first one will be excused as ref bias against Mario/Liverpool.
Yada yada, we've seen it before
"Special club" has usurped "doing things the right way" in the lexicon of banal, trite statements surrounding Liverpool Football Club. It smacks of supreme arrogance: 'we're better than other clubs'.Vienna_70 said:Saw some of the press-conference with Rodgers talking about Mario's behaviour.
He said something about Candlepool being a special club and Mario's must stay in line.
Well if you're that worried, why buy him?
Fucking idiots!

Well you're fucking not and there's plenty of examples, some of them tragic, which underline my point.
Of course everyone thinks their club is special - and to them it is - that's sort of the point.mcmanus said:gordondaviesmoustache said:"Special club" has usurped "doing things the right way" in the lexicon of banal, trite statements surrounding Liverpool Football Club. That's what I don't understand this 'special club' nonsense.
Every single football fan thinks their club is special that's why we love them.
OK the rags and scousers have won more trophies but even when we were complete bobbins in the third tier I wouldn't swap a quid for a season ticket anywhere else.
