balotelli?

Damocles are you sure that happened against us? Doesn't ring a bell with me at all, and it wasn't reported by ESPN*...or did I just miss the point of that and you were deliberately embellishing your story for effect?

He can be scarily good though, no doubt. From the way you described him it seems like you think he could have a similar effect for yous that Cantona had for us...and that's a scary thought.

He is undoubtedly talented, but I find it extremely worrying that he said he has no muscle on the inside of his right knee and if he takes a knock there it can flare up and be really painful. In the premiership you will get a knock on the inside of your knee EVERY GAME. I fear we have signed a crock, though if he stays fit he will be awesome no doubt.

It was a bad jar to be fair but he shouldn't have tried to cut inside and got a shot off quick instead.

I didn't see the timisoara match only heard it so I don't know how it happened. I just heard Cheeseman referencing the knee and then Mario saying that in an interview afterwards.

Bad news from the boy Taylor on Twitter....

"Mario Balotelli having operation in Milan on damaged knee cartilage tomorrow, story on Guardian website shortly"

<just spotted the new thread on this>

Not only sure, I'm absolutely positive.

Also, why would I deliberately embellish my story for effect? The truth is good enough.

Seems strange they wouldn't show it in the highlights - <a class="postlink" href="http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4550962157681439813#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 681439813#</a> - or on ESPN though, don't you think?
