Balotelli...

In truth, he's anything but a top man, but he did make some crucial contributions for us. The 6-1, winning goal home to Spurs in injury time, vital strike home to Sunderland when we were sliding to a catastrophic defeat and of course the lying on the ground layoff to Sergio to snatch the title.

You don't hear any stories of him being a bad man, just stories of him being a little crazy. The kind of guy who's heart is in the right place even if his head is not.

Good read, like you say shouldn't laugh but can't help it.
A scouser at work told me a couple of weeks ago, Liverpool had played a game behind closed doors (he suggested against the rags) the score was 1-1 at the time, when Mario picked the ball up on the half way line, turned to face his own goal and shot it past his own keeper. Apparently that was the final straw!
Don't know if true, but can imagine it being something he'd do...... he's completely crazy.

He did something similar whilst training with City over in the states..the gate to an high fenced 5 aside court was central with platt stood to the opposite side and a 3ft goal set out at 3 o clock, 9 o clock and one behind platt, platt rolled the ball to him and he done the one foot behind the other stunt punching the ball in an exaggerated loop straight into the 3 o clock net, next ball to him from platt and the same stunt was done over platts head into the central 3ft net....to a round of applause from the rest of our players. The 9 o clock net involved giving the ball to our italian trainer (forgot his name) and for him to loop a cross into an approaching balo, he tried the same trick incorporated into a flying volley and missed the ball falling to the ground with huge laughter from the other city players sat waiting to enter the court....platt insisted he tried it again and balo nodded, when the ball was rolled to him he skyed it rather dramatically out of the court and went and sat in the corner on his jacks...the rest of the players got on with the exercise.

This'll do for me. Look at the contrasting emotions, (obviously) between Dave and that .... , Evans. :)
