Ban The Sun?

Re: Ban The Sun???

What an ugly fat sweaty hack :-(, imagine putting it on your cv that you work for a morally bankrupt vile newspaper as the Scum where intelligence, talent and a basic knowledge of your subject matter are not relevant. i think 5 chins would be easy to spot anyway probably gorging on some artery narrowing grub from the oputdoor catering kiosks whilst fantasising about his next meeting with sluraligs.

— the Sun's 'man in Manchester' Neil Custis — perhaps making his way from the press scumbag accreditation centre in that old pub behind the Mercedes garage, heading towards entrance S just to the right of the big main entrance, then feel free to let him know how you feel.

Now that's a face I've never get bored of punching!

Re: Ban The Sun???

I wouldn't read the sun even if I were bored to tears and it was the only thing to read in a loneliest waiting room in the world . . .
However, I do like the fact that there is a sun because if ever you see anyone with a copy then that gives a clear indicator as to the fact that they're no-brain dick-heads that should be avoided at al cost.

I don't even acknowledge the existence of anyone I see reading it or indeed anyone I've ever seen with a copy because it marks them down as pure twats imo.

Regards how the club should deal with them? Well, I think that we should leave that to the club to decide because I have absolute confidence that our club is being managed by consummate professionals who will manage the matter with all requisite due diligence to ensure that the best interests of the club are protected.
Despite the fact that he's been a truly fantastic CEO and always a loyal servant to the club, and even though this targeted release of historic scandal has been via a cash for dirt deal with the sun (and even though the supposedly 'injured party' is implicated in attempting to use it in the first instance to blackmail the club). Gary Cook has resigned because he felt that it was the right thing to do, at this time, for the good of the club and the fans. He's proven that he's a man of honour and demonstrated the unfaltering dignity of the Manchester City FC senior management team.

I'm pissed off by all this but mostly I'm proud of our club and even more proud because of their measured yet decisive actions. It makes the denials and veto's from the swamp look like the actions of deluded children by comparison.

My hat off to Gary Cook and if ever I see him I'll shake his hand.

Maybe we should sing him a farewell sing on Saturday? Anyone know the words to that 'so long, farewell' song from the sound of music? I'm sure that the more musically gifted on here could get an appropriate version worked up within minutes!

Is it time City and all connected, banned this horrible piece of shit.

To be honest, we should have done it years ago after all the shit about Marc Vivien Foe. It is quite easy to see that it isn't just a one off. Custis x 2, Ashton, Ian Wright, etc have had a serious agenda against this club more recently.

The Foe stuff
Garry Cook
Balotelli throwing darts at youth team players
Balo's car being pounded and parking tickets
All the Kia leaks
ADD MORE IF YOU WISH

I remember this quote in particular maybe because it is more recent after the Community Shield.

THIS was a result to make football itself stand up and cheer.
And not just because the Bad Guys got a punch on the nose from the Good Guys.

This was also a victory for the vibrancy of youth. And for the way teams and clubs should be built.

Liverpool and now Cardiff have the right idea. Do we seriously need to listen and take their shite anymore? Hit them where it hurts and ban them or boycott them.

Rick you can hardly include Cook, unfortunatly he dug his own grave being a lieing b*stard

We should give him a special seat in the press box

Wasn't it The Sun who made up the story about our players being given watches as gifts in the UAE, then had to post a (small print) apology after legal threats (back when the club still had some balls in dealing with them)?

They made up 3 stories in a year, which the club threatened court with and every time they wrote an apology. Which means the stuff they write now is factually correct. All the papers have learned not to write bollocks about us from when they took over. The problem is that what they write is true and painful at times or pie in the sky maybe stuff which leaves them free from prosecution

What did they say about Foe?

Re: Ban The Sun???

As much as I dislike the Sun and would never personally read it, I don't see how you can ban a paper for(this time atleast)printing something that after looking into it the board considered worthy of accepting the CEO of the clubs head over.

maybe they accepted the resignation as a matter of course, so as to end the matter rather than accept that someone had done wrong within city and would drag on and on in the scum press

I read the Sun along with other newspapers. I can spell Garry Cook, not bad for a "no brained dick-head"! Especially as there are a few threads on here today as well...

Re: Ban The Sun???

Banning the sun from the ground won't solve the problem, but at least the club would be doing something, we should of started banning a long time ago. The club have held a softly softly stance for too long, we've pardoned so many offences, we've encouraged the commission of many.

Personal Favourite was the story when Thaksin was in charge, which said as they line up before kick off the players would have to Bow.

Im almost certain that 1 or 2 of the sun reporters are banned. 1 is a Custis for sure

Unfortunately reading the sun has the same reaction as being a tory, you can never find anyone that admits to it. BAN THE SUN

I'm a tory

And even though the sun is shite, thick people need papers they can understand too.

Anything that winds up the perpetual victims on Merseyside can't be all bad

Re: Ban The Sun???

city don't have to ban the sun scum to make it clear the club consider them to be low life shitheads. simply split the journo hospitality area into two parts. fair minded & balanced (not necessarily pro-city) journos would get the canapes, prawn sandwiches, early grey, fairtrade costa rica coffee, etc. in plush surroundings. sun scum & anyone else of their ilk would get day old luncheon meat & mousetrap cheese butties with the crusts curling up, lukewarm tesco value tea & coffee & have to sit on rickety chairs in a spartan room unheated in winter.

simples.

Re: Ban The Sun???

Never bought the sun in my life, these days stories hit the internet from other sources or that newspapers all print the same stories anyway, so trying to avoid one papers scoop in particular is like trying to keep dry on the rubber dingy rapids.

You should stop being so precious about what happens behind the scenes and enjoy or look forward to the 11 football players on the pitch.

When you were kid, did you care about Peter Swales reputation, or how many slappers Tony Coton pulled on a saturday night? Did you balls.

90 minutes of football, that is all that matters.

Re: Ban The Sun???

The Sun is a pretty poor excuse for a newspaper, but I can't think of any papers who would not have printed that story if they had got it. Blaming the Sun for printing the story is like blaming a dog for barking it's what they do.

Re: Ban The Sun???

i stopped reading the sun years back when couldnt help themselves from slagging david james off at every opportunity.
