That's right, lots of other club fans latched on to the inflatable craze and I thought the inflatable haddocks Grimsby fans had were particularly amusing.
 
I owned and religiously carted an inflatable banana to games, only now do I know why!
 
I had an inflatable ALF who made it onto the front cover of KOTK
A lad from work borrowed him to take to Portsmouth and he came back popped

Was working in Bude Cornwall at the time just met up with the future Mrs,anyway didn't drive at the time so she had to drive up just for the game then back after.We got seat tickets behind the goal above City fans from the Stoke ticket office on the day.Long day and drive for her I just knew she was a great women 36 years together now.

Bloody hell. I’m just out of that photo, I remember being by the TippEx pen!
 
The one thing missed off at the end I felt, is why it ended as it did.
The simple reason was going to Bradford and West Brom etc in the 2nd Division carrying bananas was no big deal.
Our first game back in the 1st Division was at Anfield. No one was going to walk around Anfield carrying a banana. Or at many other 1st Division grounds......
