Bands worth knowing. You know but most in here would never have heard of.

From Brisbane, Wolfmother.

I think at least 2 million odd would know of them Bill as that how many album sales they have sold worldwide to date.

I will take a punt that our resident San Fran devotee Fog would have heard of them for example.

Not that well known in the UK I would hazard a guess but toured the USA extensively for 15 years solid

Not to be picky but they originally formed in Sydney.

Fair enough mate, I don't keep up with modern music so I didn't know they were popular... thought they were just known in Australia.
As most Aussie bands are.

No worries Bill , the 60's and 70's Aussie bands that didn't tour or base themselves overseas wouldn't be well known throughout the world for sure.

How many of our UK and US mooners would be familiar with the work of bands like The Groop , Radio Birdman , County Radio for example.

the Aussie product like a lot of the NZ product is recognised world wide for lovers of music that search for it or have it presented to them.

Greg Quill who spent a lot of his time in Canada in journalism is a music legend.

hope some others on here who appreciate quality enjoy some early Aussie classic music.
