Aren't seasoncards disabled for the cup anyway? How in god's name would you have got in if you hadn't paid? If the ticket office confirm that you paid, surely they should reissue the seasoncard and issue a written apology for any distress caused.

Read back through the thread, read that you did it and edited my post duly. As I said, demand a written apology from him when it gets sorted out for distress, and ask to reimburse your ticket from Forest.

I know those Stoke fans are known for getting a bit 'excited' at times but I was aware that this was the sort of thing that went on at away games there.

It is far too easy for them to disable your card and put the onus on you to prove you are not in the wrong, which until you do, you are basically fucked.

They'll probably write back to say you were being abusive and ban you for three games. You'll then have to sign something promising to be a good boy, my mate had to do something like that anyway, but as you say you did nothing wrong, then good luck in getting it sorted.

With all respect, Alpe, I wouldn't get myself in your situation. And I still wouldn't run to the press if I did.
Now, I feel for you because I honestly don't think your mother's idea of running to the press is a good one and I understand that you would respect and trust whatever your mum suggests.
But, as things are, City do not care about fans running to the press - only today there was a thread on here linking to a story about a blue who had been banned eventhough he claimed he was innocent. The club will not back down once a story hits the press for whatever reason be it pride or professional image.
City will have to back up their stewards in a 'my word against your word' situation and therefore you will be guilty of the bad behaviour.

Now, you can listen to and take heart from the other folks on this thread that haven't really shown any real concern for your particular situation and have only said "it's shit", "the club are stupid" and "go to the press" or you can take this up in a professional and diplomatic way with City starting off by asking for an explanation of your ejection based on not having a ticket (and not being ejected for bad behaviour), when in fact it can now be proved otherwise.
Providing you did have a ticket through legit means, the club will now be on the back foot and you have the opportunity to admit and apologise for being upset and look to the club to empathise with your reaction to the steward on being accused of entering the ground without a ticket......you don't like being accused of being a criminal, right?

If this is as clear cut as you have said then I would hope that the club will return your ST and reimburse you for the Forest ticket...and we all live happily ever after.
