Banners - all gone for good?

All I will say is thank god that Didsbury Dave is not in charge of the club! I think the match day 'experience' that the club is creating is fantastic and I would bet stats around arrival at the ground prove that to be the case.

The fact is that if you are simply there for 90 minutes of football then turn up in your seat 2 minutes before kick off and go and grab a beer and chat to your mates in the concourse at half time.

The innovative approach that the club are taking to make football a family experience and a day out is fantastic. Keep it up City,

Back to the topic however it would be good to know what is happening with the banners.

Clarkie, shirley?

Fair enough having the city square entertainment, but thats where it should stay imo not have it beamed live into the ground, bob wilson was talking about what people where saying about joe harts england performance as joe was on the pitch warming up,sure he doesnt need to hear that

I think the City Square entertainment should be kept in City square and not brought into the ground, not because I don't like it but because you can't hear half of what is being said anyway, the sound system within the ground is flaming atrocious. It would be great if we could hear it but frustrating when you can see these daft pictures on the screen and are wondering what it is all about. I applaud City for trying but get the sound system sorted. As someone said to me if they can get it sorted for the concerts why can't they get it sorted for the matches.

Even at half time when they are yelling into the microphones, where I sit you can't make out what the heck they are discussing. They could be talking about landing a man/woman on the moon (blue or otherwise) for all we can tell. I really would have liked to know what Bob Wilson was saying about Bert Trautmann but couldn't make out anything. Also miss the banners and we wondered if the sponsors had said they didn't want their names covered over because of course that is where they used to hang.

And while I am in a bit of a rant mode that wailing wall singer was dreadful!!!!

They only put the before game shit on so they can say your day out is more than just 90 mins football, thinking more will show up earlier therefore spending more at the ground, then they will try to justify ticket price increases with it, at the end of the day everyone goes for the football, the so called entertainment, food etc you can stick it for me and is nothing more than a gimmick being used to squeeze extra cash out of fans

I really couldnt give two fucks about what happens or not.

I go the game and have a beer and a chat til its KO time then i watch 45 mins of footy and go get a beer and pie and then watch 45 more minutes of footy and go and have some more beer.

A banner or somebody singing or a sealion doing a clapping routine makes no difference to my expectations of the match going experience. I go for the footy and to support my team.

Couldn't agree more. Sat in 125 section couldn't hear a word - bloody awful.
Luckily I was on the concourse having a pint so missed the "Singer". While I am in a moaning mood the beer service - at the bar near 123 was garbage.. There was only 2 rows deep and it took about 9 minutes to get 3 pints. Sort it out City!!.

Was chatting to a steward pre match and he said they were a bit behind with things getting the stadium ready (I asked about the none existent new wifi).

I also noticed in the bogs near us the advert holders just had half ripped out posters from last season and hadn't been updated.

Hopefully putting the banners up was just part of this issue and will be back for Hull

Slightly different topic - but for anyone south of the half way line - there was a giant "Aerial" towering above the North Stand - must have been outside at the back of the stand - at a guess about 80 feet high - Any idea what that was.??
