Organised a big piss up in town on Saturday, pub golf, about 12-16 of us, all 18-21.

Anyone know which bars, bar the obvious ones, which will basically frown upon us going in dressed as pissed golfers and which ones wont mind?

Go down portland st pal, turn left at wetherspoons, head behind chorlton st bus station, there's loads of pubs down there that will accommodate you dressed up as golfers. All the american motorbike cops, indian chiefs, cowboys and construction workers go there after work.

Yeah...but you play golf (drinking) as you go round with forfeits (drinks) etc. At least that's what we used to do.

Start off at the Golftorium on Ducie Street. Its got one of these indoor simulator thingimebobs. Not played on it myself but the bar is decent enough. Only thing is it's a bit out on its own, with only the pubs around London Road a (pub-crawl) walking distance away.

I would imagine any golf course that lets you take beer on the course and play drinking games won't require you to dress correctly for the round. And you won't be dragging your clubs round I guess so why not just get changed if you are wearing golf gear.

you start at the Friendship in Fallowfield and have 1 pint at every pub you pass until you get to 42nd Street -where all shots are paid for by resident piss head Michael Johnson.

So that's what it was. I was having a nice pint in my local a bit back when about 30 student tossers turned up in golf outfits screeching and giggling like fucking three year olds, engaged in some retarded drinking games involving laying on the floor and more screeching and giggling then all fucked off, mercifully, about 20 minutes later.

I'd advise fallowfield. And if you can't manage to keep your deranged antics to the student bit of town, I'd advise at least avoiding all the bars round Oxford Road Station as I'm likely to be having a drink somewhere near me on Saturday and can really do without sitting through that again.
