This was planned for last summer if i'm not mistaken?

We played a friendly against Girona after the start of the season a few years ago and it was fine.

Obviously not ideal, but not unworkable.

Hopefully it won't happen like last season. We lost away at Norwich after the Kompany one, they can cost more than they will raise.

We will probably have to loan Bustelona players for this match to go ahead.

Everybody seems to be more worried about playing time early in the year so this will be a good chance to get some for fringe players.

Why not arrange it during the pre-season? Seems an unnecessary injury risk during the season.

Doubt we'll risk any senior players for it anyway, will be a mixture of kids and fringe players.

So alfies lad will at least get some valuable game time then as he fits both categories.
