The cause was commendable, the timing of the game was nonsense. Our pre season wasn't exactly hectic, why it couldn't have been played then is a mystery.
Nah, gave a much needed run out for the irregular players wanting a game, plus it gave Pep a view on the ability of those players.
Alvarez's forward pressure is Tevez-like and something we haven't had since he left and Palmer has uncanny confidence and control in midfield.
Useful game for those very reasons.
