If Barcelona - one of the cartel clubs - were to fall foul of FFP then there might be a re-evaluation of what FFP is for and how it is implemented.
I believe that there is way too much money involved with football but implementing ridiculous controls which prevent genuine investment whilst allowing shady deals like the Glazers pulled to buy United is ridiculous.
It always amazes me how the vast majority of football fans just accept FFP and use it as a stick to beat City and similar clubs without questioning it's purpose and how it measures what is "acceptable".
I think that if Barcelona were to reach a state where they would be on the verge of going under FFP would be set aside and thus totally discredited.

The thing with Barca and those sort of clubs like the rags is they outspend everyone.
It's fine IF you have the money, ANY team should be able to spend what they want but, when you either over extend like Barca or run into massive debt, spending cash you've not got is cheating.
It's also stopping the development of other clubs trying to move forward.
