Barcelona Thread - 2021/22

Lucky with what? Madrid aren't the team they were 4 years ago and probably won't be a threat this season. Just because there better than barca doesn't make them actually good. If they play anyone decent in the champions League this season they'll be out out of the big teams they'd be the team id want us to play in the knock outs after barca.
You’re saying “oh they wouldn’t have progressed if Liverpool had X and Y player”. This could be asked of us with regards to Sancho and Mbappe. I think Madrid had merit. And I think they have had good games this season, Vinicius and Benzema are in top form. But Ancelotti is still at the beginning of his time there, they won’t be consistent

All they have is those two players tho the rest of the team is either not very good or old. Im only dismissing them for this season next season with mpabbe and other signings im sure they'll be back. Mpabbe played against us in first game btw. We also delt very well with haaland against dortmund i can't remember if sancho didn't play both games or just missed the one.

the thing that gets me with Barcelona is you're supposed to be a fan owned club ? so how can a fan owned club be so much debt if its there own money they spend ? i know how it should work with having a voting system and electing president to spend the income. but how can fans vote for selling there club down the river with bank loans and asset stripping and crazy transfers and wages given to players

Spanish football and its loony bosses are going to end up being a 3rd rate european clubs in the not to near future
lets be honest here they are saying barcelona are close to 1.5 billion in debt ? that is never going to be paid back and should be punished by uefa in the FFP rules. they knowingly knew what they was doing and cooking the books in the summer and loaning or giving players away for free because of the RULES

i bet if uefa FFP team dig a little bit deeper into their account like they do with manchester city they would find all sort of cheating going on over the years. pep even called them out when they questioned manchester city verdict in clearing our name ? they (barcelona) have so many skeletons in the closet it would not be hard to find something

I'd say the fans have precious little say there. If the manager was dead set on bringing in a player, and the majority of fans were against it, do you think the fans would have the final say? No chance.

if its touted as a fan owned club then the fans must have a say or what is the point ?

they should not be in the mess they are in ? or should i say uefa and FFP should not be letting a club run up debt to the tune of 1.5billion knowingly they will never pay it back

I guess it's more like voting in a political election. You vote for who you want to run your club based on their campaign promises. If they fail to deliver, you vote for someone else next time.
Oh, and FFP is not interested in debt

I'm not disagreeing about it being touted as "a fans' club". It certainly is. I'm just sceptical about just how much say the fans actually have. Maybe it's just a result of me being a FOC.

It's not hard for a club to be ruined when their last two presidents , bare the current one, have been to jail (Rosell and Bartomeu).
Hell , it only takes one president to ruin the club, their situation is mostly caused by their last president Bartomeu.

Ive no clue why everyone thinks Barca has a shit squad rn, I mean they definitely are not on our level , but they have a squad to win the Spanish league with. Fati , Aguero , Depay / Dembele up front , Busquets , Pedri , De Jong , Gavi so on in midfield Dest , Araujo, Garcia/Pique , Alba defense and Ter Stegen .
Almost all thoes players play for their national teams and we're talking Spain, Netherlands , Argentina , Germany..
Again , its not one of the best squads in Europe atm, but if they beat the likes of Cadiz, Granada or Rayo Valecano (teams that they shouldve won against) they'd be top of the league rn.
A proper coach can definitely get better results with that squad!
And if my aunt had balls, she’d be my uncle!.

Spanish rags. FUKM!

uefa FFP should be all over clubs in debt and clubs in financial ruin. they should stop chasing manchester city because we are the best run club in football. anybody turning £300million when they bought manchester city into 2.5 billion are doing something right
