As much as Barcelona would want us to believe that all players dream of playing for the club and would do anything to get there something seems off to me.

There must be something going on behind the scenes that makes these players sign for a club they are not even guaranteed to be registered for?

Any player would look from the outside and see 1, they might not be able to register me. 2, I might not even get paid and 3 I’m playing in the europa league. However for some reason this is overlooked. I think there might be a few under the table offers to get these players to sign.
Europa League?

Be

cause they have won more prize money in the last three years between them
Those figures are just net spend, transfer fees in to transfer fees out. Not including any other revenue streams.

La Liga,Uefa won`t punish them - too big to fail - but i`m not so sure about the spanish state. There are many people who haven`t forgotten the independence riots 4/5 years ago and would gladly punish an important institution from Catalonia. If they did something dodgy regarding taxes or money laundering then they could be in trouble.
I agree UEFA won't punish them, but if sufficient La Liga clubs started to get pissed off with Barca's antics, and have the balls to complain, then the league may have to take action. - Having said that I doubt they'd be brave enough.

To think they were held up as the perfect club at one point, supporter owned,no stadium sponsor and no shirt sponser to sully their great brand.
Nowadays they would sell their arseholes for a few euros.
The mis-management of Messi has crippled them.

His wages were so high that secondary stars to him got ridiculous salaries too.

Madrid and Barca had hugely inflated sponsorships because of Messi and CR37.

Madrid took the financial hit of losing that money much better than Barca have.

Spanish football has relied too much on these two parasites for too long, if they are allowed to fail the Spanish league will fail too IMHO, they are the only two clubs that keep people interested.

And it’s not only this dodgy money-that-doesn’t-exist deal they’ve been found out on; they owe £110m in unpaid transfer fees, they have £42m in unpaid wages, and they are £1.3bn in debt.

Malaga just be fuming about this situation considering they were banned from Europe for not paying debt holding companies money for unpaid transfer fees

Malaga are now a struggling La Liga 2 club as their owners from that period fucked off as they saw how corrupt it all was in favour of the Cartel.
Cheers for bringing this up. I was trying to remember which team had debt issues as well. This was a club troubling the top 4 teams occasional in La Liga.

That no one is ringing any alarm bells anywhere with regards to Barcelona shows how the whole thing stinks.

I’m sure Luuk de Jong is happy that he got out while he did and can play football with peace of mind while at PSV. If I was Pjanic and players like him that have hardly played while at Barca, I’d jump ship ASAP.
