Madrid have been the better team. Ronaldo reminding people exactly why he is the world player, but Modric best player on the pitch. Pique also showing why he was won so many trophies. People like Souness think Barca/Bayern/Madrid play fools at the back. Madrid should have scored. This match also highlights why Bale is not popular with the fans. He just does not have the vision or touch to be involved in the build up. Everything nice Madrid has done he is not a part of unless he is finishing. Madrid could rue the chances they have not taken.

Bale was too selfish in that counter attack, Ronaldo has all rights to be pissed off with him. Pass to him and it's 1-2

Yeh he should have. The game is too big not take any chance. It could decide the league, but with Ancelotti even if Madrid win probably won't.

a bit tepid at the moment, could have been 2-0 but Real could have had a couple more before half-time, poor play mainly by Bale. Referee overbearing.

Schweinsteiger better for me. Those two have been the best for a while though ever since Xavi's decline. Give Kroos time though he is only 25 compared to Schweinsteiger 30 and Modric 29.

Nah, last year or two, Modric is easily the best. Schweinsteiger doesn't have pass as noble as Modric does. Modric is just brilliant, attacking wise fantastic, and he works very hard defensively.

I'm a Bayern fan and in my opinion Schweinsteiger is past it, would happily get rid of him asap. Moves around like a tractor and hasn't performed at club level for two years while being injured half the time.

Cos Madrid are doing a great job stopping him getting the ball unlike us who let him have all the time in the world with the ball.

Fair enough, but Schweinsteiger has a fantastic passing range himself and is the better player defensively. Modric is more creative, but Schweinsteiger is one of the best tacklers in the world. Either way both would make my world 11.

EDIT
It's true Schweinsteiger misses half the season, which made it even crazier to get rid of Kroos, but when he is fit he is incredible like he showed at the world cup; the amount of interceptions and tackles he made in the big games were incredible. Guardiola's style of football does not suit him either, but he does alright. Should never be partnered with Alonso though.
