How long do you think until one of their stars will want a new challenge?

Judging by this season, and the massive gap with a team that are considered their equals, will any of them think they need to break away? Will they want to be considered part of a Barcelona team or someone who left and contributed at another team when the going is good?

The untouchable 3 (we all know them) maybe?

Who would want to leave the biggest club in the world, winning trophies and beautiful climate?

I think Xavi will retire there, Messi will probably play in the premier league but not for many years yet. Iniesta can create a legacy at Barca similar to Xavi.

The only players I can see that would move are David Villa and Sanchez if the money is right.

I think Iniesta may be the one that will leave if any of them do.
Xavi will want to finish his incredible career on a continued high and do we really want to be bidding for Messi when he is 30+? Because that will be the only time that Barca will let him go.

Yer'd get two kind of players - those that Barca don't want and those that we don't need!

With the greatest respect having just watched them this evening, why would you ever want to play for anyone else?

A policy that hasn't gone badly so far in Yaya Toure.

Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, forget about it. Can probably add, for the players we'd want from them, Busquets and Fabregas to that list too.

The best chance of getting Barca quality players direct from the factory are lads who won't be getting a look into the first team due to the aforementioned players and want to challenge themselves at the highest level. Or getting them early enough that Barca did the hard work scouting them and we can just nick them on early professional contracts ala Fabregas at Arsenal.

I just came here to post in the La Liga thread though, as I've checked the table again and noticed they've still only dropped 2 points all season. 2. in 19 games. Two points. Two. With a goal difference of 44.

Everyone loves to be the winner but really, is that even a challenge? 11 points clear of Atletico, 18, yes eighteen points ahead of Real Madrid. They should forfeit the next few matches just to keep the damn thing interesting.

I know for a certain fact that Iniesta has entertained offers. The issue with these stars is that before th Spanish tax situation they were easily making the money most do in the rest of Europe. Barcelona are a great club. But the OP is right, at some point it will be beneficial for both Barcelona and the player to move on.

I would argue it's almost dangerous to think that this same team should play together until 2015/16. They need to keep turning over especially as the golden era of players enter the last half of their careers.
