the crest is a work of art mate....

Unless yer flag is a work of art it ain't worth doin'. An' just look how much yer can pay for a Van Gogh or a Picasso. £90 for an embroidered badge is pretty fair.

If yer don't invest, yer banner'll look like that 'Fergie Out' banner - spray paint on a cheap see-through sheet!

agreed, when you think of it as an hourly rate...even at £10 an hour.

just on the crest alone, there's got to be at least 4 hours work cutting...1 hours work setting out....2 hours works sewing...thats £70 before you even add the materials

I know one or two people that have used Barmy Flags, the quality is decent and they will barter with you.

I also think it's a little unfair to suggest that they are expensive when you've had no other alternative prices. It may misrepresent their business in a bad light and put off one or two on here from buying off them.

Let us know how you go on either way.
Im sorry if im being 'unfair' but ,dont you think 96 pound for a city crest is a little expensive ?? , i dont think im putting anyone from buying from them , ive not called into question their quality , I just stated the price they quoted me!

I used Barmy flags for an 8'x4' flag, Charged me £180 iirc. It had 21 letters and the City crest in the middle. The quality was superb, was similar to the 'absent friends' flag if you've ever seen it.
I tried to get quotes from 2 other flag makers, both of who wouldn't do the crest due to copyright issues.
If you chose to go with Barmy flags, guarantee you won't be dissapointed and well worth the money.
A large number of the flags you'll see at City are made by these!

Im picking up a flag we have ordered with Barmy Flags this coming Friday. It will make its debut at the Cup Final.

£170 for 10ft x 5ft with the city crest in the centre with :

BORN AND RAISED
THE MANCUNIAN WAY

We went and had a chat with them, 3 sound lads, everything is stitched on machines and cut out by hand. They are really busy with clubs from everywhere, a great little business. The quality of their work is great !

45 years old and like a big kid can't wait to pick it up.

i had mine done at barmy flags 24ft x 10ft, i paid £200+

the badge is a work of art, all different coloured cloths overlayed to make up the badge and on my flag its nearly 5ft diameter ;)

in the 70's I was a member of the Junior Blues,at Belle Vue Kings Hall, every Branch was there and we made a banner out of someones sheet.Cant remember what we used for the lettering. The banner read,'The Futcher looks bright'.Ours won a matchball.Just a thought.

Belle Vue and Kings Hall. Going back a bit there !!
Manchester Histories Festival doing a bit on Belle Vue in March this year.

Cheaper option may be full colour printed and the material is not as heavy
