Basel (H) Post Match Thread

I don't know about that. I was disappointed with City. We could have played the kids and still put in a good performance but Yaya totally wrecked our midfield.
Which bit din’t You know about mate ?

Ridiculous booing at the end, there’s some right idiots at matches nowadays.

I didn't hear any booing. what stand were you in?[/QUOTE]
East level 1 mate, 101/02 loads of booing after some passing and at the final whistle

The booing was pathetic, the problem is the CL attracts a lot of casual 'fans', the regulars understand the system now and recognise what the players are trying to do, i.e create space... (not withstanding the fact that its wasn't great last night).

Apart from that I'd just like to say what a decent game Claudio Bravo had, I don't think he can be blamed for the goals and his general play was excellent.

The booing was there, certainly quite audible on BT coverage last night.

Came after we went backwards with passing again and ignoring an attack.

McManaman and Gary Dempsey were commentating and couldn't believe it.

My wife commented on it and I had to do a double take, in truth I heard it, but I genuinely didn't want to believe it.

I agree the game was poor and I had a nightmare journey too, but the tactics for last night were determined two weeks ago. If it had been in the balance, we would have seen a totally different line up and game strategy.

We knew it was a dead rubber and was played out as such

Agreed, but the players that were put out there, should still be able to put on a show. I cant really remember many forward passes in the 2nd half, and those players were more than capable of expressing themselves and prove what they can do.

Can't say I heard any booing from South Stand lower and the first time I knew about it was after reading about it on here this morning. Considering the season were having and that it was pretty much a meaningless game for us last night, I have to agree that it's pathetic.

Cannot disagree with you. Even if the tie was well and truly won, the attending crowd deserved more

Apart from Sane non of them start as first choice, Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Delph/mendy, Fernandinho, Silva, DeBruyne, Sterling, Aguero and Sane is or would be the first starting 11, so nobody really impressed last although some did ok.
