Just maybe as a moderator he had to back himself up against childish pointless attacks?

This is the point that chabal, malg and numerous other miss.

My ability to moderate this site as with all the mods is based on trust. The users have to trust that we aren't twats driven by agenda and we have to trust the users will hold their hands up when they step out of line. A public and specific complaint about moderation needs to be addressed as part of any open dialogue; I have previously supported the idea of opening up the moderation so that users have full access to all logs and decision making. The counter argument to that is that it would make moderation impossible because there's certain users who have nothing else to do but to stick it to the mods or a particular mod in any way they can and it's adding fuel to a fire.

Lesson well learnt there. I won't be having these types of arguments again and will literally just pass them to Ric.

I think people must have an incredibly low opinion of me to suggest that this is not something I already know. Oh and and I don't need to have the last word but I won't leave some bullshit hanging out there unchallenged. It isn't for the sake of it.

How many regular users are there on here? So some of them don't like poster As posting style. Hardly surprising really. What should poster A do about this? Change his natural posting style to please those who don't like it? I think not. You can please some of the people some of the time etc etc.....
