Bath City player

A Stockport player just absolutely smashed his head off the advertising hoardings at Edgeley Park. Thankfully he seems ok but it looked horrible and could easily have resulted in a serious brain injury.

Not sure exactly what, but something needs to done to help reduce the chances of this happening more often.

The Swamp has the worst situated advertising boards..... you go down that slope and there is only one way to stop and that's hitting the boards

This story has just popped up on my Twitter feed from earlier this week. Sounds absolutely horrendous. Doesn't say much in the statement but reading back through the comments it sounds as though he went head first into the advertising boards which were just off the side of the pitch and basically screwed into a brick wall. Poor bloke. Hopefully he makes a full recovery but doesn't sound good.

Shocking and i hope he recovers fully, however I'm surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen more often.
My lad plays rugby in national league, and home ground has concrete posts and iron railing less than 2 metres from pitch. Again I'm surprised I've not seen a winger get strung up on one when tackled.

He is out of hospital and recovering at home apparently. But it is a long road to recovery according to the local news

This is why the officials should come down like a ton of bricks on Liverpool players like Robertson, Arnold & Gomez who deliberately push players into the advertising hoardings on a regular basis. Not only is it highly dangerous players from lower leagues and school kids copy it. Needs to stamped out.

100%.
Do you remember last year against Madrid when that savic gave foden a nudge off the ball as it was going out. Such a cowards trick.

Some non league grounds are just not fit for purpose anymore and are an accident waiting to happen. Good to hear that the lad is doing better now though.
